What am I doing wrong here? Is it that the drivers are messed up? Did I fail to enable a setting? I'm very confused and looking for an answer.

My issue here is that I'm unable to set the headset in the windows audio options to 7.1 surround, I am on windows 7 and I went to my playback devices, found the headset listed in there, right clicked it and went to "configure" and am only given the option to select "stereo" and with no option for any sort of surround sound. "The latest drivers" is the drivers I downloaded and installed, they appear to be either identical or very similar to the ones that came with the headset on a disc. I've installed the drivers that came with the headset and have also tried installing the drivers on their website from this link: I bought this headset because I assumed I should be able to get windows and my games to recognize that it's a 7.1 surround sound headset, so I'm just trying to fix this issue. First thing's first, I don't want comments about how surround in headsets doesn't work or whatever, or that for USB headsets that it's emulated or anything.
